INCIDENTS
Police reported criminal damage to property at about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of North Manhattan Avenue after a 30-year-old man said someone “keyed” his car for a loss of about $500.
Officers reported theft at about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Fremont Street after a 50-year-old man said someone stole his black Swift Cruz motorized bike for a loss of about $500.
Police reported criminal damage to property at about 8 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Pottawatomie Avenue. An 18-year-old woman told officers that someone damaged her van’s windshield for a loss of about $750.
Law enforcement arrested Rachel Lingenfelter, 43, of Manhattan at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday on a Riley County District Court warrant for mistreatment of a dependent adult, theft, two counts each of identity theft and criminal use of a financial card. The crimes are in connection to the financial exploitation of a now-dead man in 2022. Lingenfelter has been released on a $5,000 bond.
Police arrested Theodore Ayon, 41, of Manhattan Thursday at about 3:30 p.m. on two Riley County District Court warrants, both for probation violation. The warrants stem from original charges of criminal deprivation of property, driving while suspended and two counts each of violating a protection order and domestic battery. Ayon’s held at Riley County jail on $5,000 bond.
