Apple iPhone 13 was a great successor and a great time to upgrade your smartphone. Even for those not currently using Apple’s platform, it was a good time to make the switch.

Which brings us to today, will the iPhone 14 able to have the same impact?

One glance at it, we can see that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 are very similar. It’s like nothing has changed since a year ago. It will still be sporting the same 6.1-inch Full HD+ Super Retina XDR OLED screen with HDR and Dolby Vision. Even the protection is more or less the same.

But that’s not stopping you from getting the OLED technology which delivers incredible contrast for bright whites and true blacks. High resolution and colour accuracy make everything look sharp and true to life. True Tone makes your display easier on the eyes by adjusting to the ambient light.

Underneath the hood of the iPhone 14 is also the same from last year, except maybe an upgrade to its graphics. It has the same super-speedy chip that’s in iPhone 13 Pro. A15 Bionic, with a 5‑core GPU, powers all the latest features and makes graphically intense games and AR apps feel ultra-fluid. An updated internal design delivers better thermal efficiency, so you can stay in the action longer.

Camera-wise, there’s the dual 12MP+12MP primary camera and dual 12MP+SL 3D selfie camera that can be found on the iPhone 14. Well again, nothing changes over here, so you can expect it has the same quality as its predecessor.

As for the storage, you get to choose either 128GB, 256GB or 512GB of space. With no expansion slot to be found, just go with the largest option that you can afford.

Moving on to the battery side of things, nothing changes over here as well. You will still be able to get two days out of it and charge it up in very minimal time.

If there’s one thing that is great about it, is that it will be coming out with the latest iOS 16 right out of the box. So you get to experience it first, much earlier than everyone else.

Conclusion:

Apple iPhone 14 does not bring much to the table for this year. For those who already have an iPhone 13, you can hold off the upgrade for now.

Apple iPhone 14 is expected to be released on September 23rd 2022 with pre-order opening very soon. It will be available for 799 USD for the 128GB internal storage variant, 899 USD for the 256GB internal storage variant and 1,099 USD for the 512GB internal storage variant. Lots of colors for you to choose from: Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink, Red or Green.
