Oppo Reno8 Pro: 6.62-inch AMOLED with 120Hz, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, 50MP triple primary camera, 32MP selfie camera and 4500 mAh battery

The Snapdragon Gen is a very new lineup, and for today let’s take a closer look at the Oppo Reno8 Pro which will be releasing their first Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.

But before we begin, let’s do a quick throwback at one of Oppo’s best-sellers for last year – the A55:

The A55 is a very good mid-range smartphone with its large 6.51-inch IPS screen, good protection, good hardware, good 50MP triple primary camera, good 16MP selfie camera, large 64MP storage with an expansion slot and a large 5000 mAh battery; all this for a very attractive price. The only downside is that it doesn’t have a Full-HD resolution and 5G connectivity.

Fast forward to today, and we now have the Reno8 Pro scheduled to be released next month in June. Here’s the lowdown of this smartphone:

The Reno8 Pro is set to be coming in with a large 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen. Then there’s the 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ technology and very high brightness that makes it a visual feast to your eyes. Coupled in with the Gorilla Glass all-round protection, and you can take it anywhere you go.

In terms of performance, the Reno8 Pro comes in with the latest mid-range offering which is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. Paired with a very fast octa-core processor, Adreno graphics and either 8GB or 12GB of memory, you can easily run just about anything.

Camera-wise, the Reno8 Pro will be coming in with a highly rated 50MP+8MP+2MP camera setup which is packed with all the bells and whistles that you can expect of a very capable shooter. Throw in a 32MP selfie camera, and you are all set to go on a camera adventure.

When you take all those high-res photos, then comes the issue of whether you have enough storage to support it. Thankfully there is, with the 128GB or 256GB internal storage option. Just bear in mind that there won’t be an expansion slot, so just go with what your budget allows.

Moving on to the battery side of things, the 4500 mAh battery found on the Reno8 Pro should have no problem to power up the device for a good day or two in between charging. When the time to charge the device, it will only take 31 minutes to get it all the way up to 100%. Now would you believe that?

Last but not least, the Reno8 Pro will be shipping out with the latest Android 12 operating system right out of the box. And did we mention there’s 5G connectivity?

Oppo Reno8 Pro looks to have a very good future in front of it. You won’t go wrong with its large 6.62-inch AMOLED screen, high 120Hz refresh rate, high brightness, great all-round protection, the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, amazing 50MP triple primary camera, amazing 32MP selfie camera, and a large 4500 mAh battery which charges itself in a jiffy.
