Lightspeed announces partnership with Australian hospitality tech platform Doshii

Providing 10,000 Lightspeed customers with a suite of new integrated apps using Doshii’s smart technology

Leading point-of-sale and ecommerce provider, Lightspeed, announces a strategic partnership with Australian hospitality point-of-sale and app middleware platform, Doshii. The integration will provide Lightspeed customers in Australia and New Zealand with an additional suite of tools they can connect to their point of sale for seamless and efficient automation of operations.

As multiple states emerge from lockdown, hospitality operators are embracing connected technology to run leaner, more profitable businesses in response to staffing shortages, capacity restrictions and increasing overhead costs. The new partnership will see Doshii’s services embedded into Lightspeed’s ecosystem, which will allow hospitality venues to connect to an even wider range of applications, including pickup and delivery, in-venue ordering, reservations and rostering without leaving their POS.

Justin O’Donnell, CEO of Doshii said, “We are very excited to be partnering with Lightspeed as this will give their customers even greater access and choice when it comes to the applications they connect with their POS.

“By using Doshii, hospitality venues can eliminate double-handling and mistakes caused by managing orders across different tablets and devices, allowing them to focus on doing what they do best.”

Nick Cloete, SVP & MD, APAC at Lightspeed Australia said he is proud to partner with an Australian business like Doshii as Lightspeed continues to grow its footprint within the Australian and New Zealand market.

“Now, more than ever, smart hospitality operators are hungry for efficiency, and tools that reduce admin: enabling them to focus more energy on what they love doing. We want to ensure we are equipping our hospitality venues with the right tools to be successful, and enrich the communities they serve while doing so.

We are thrilled to partner with Doshii as they share Lightspeed’s passion to help our customers grow,” said Cloete.

Doshii is a middleware cloud platform for the hospitality sector, helping thousands of venues cut through the app chaos and navigate the surge in mobile ordering brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. The platform supports venues by integrating a multitude of food ordering, business management, data and customer loyalty program applications and point-of-sale functions into a single system.

Testing of the new integration between Lightspeed and Doshii is well underway, with several pilot venues already connected. A full rollout of the Lightspeed POS integration is expected by the end of this year.
