Colorado Cleantech Invites Executives and Entrepreneurs to Apply for the 2015 Energy Fellows Institute

Colorado Cleantech’s Energy Fellows Institute is now accepting applications from executives and entrepreneurs interested in joining the Spring 2015 program. During a one-week sprint session, the Energy Fellows Institute (EFI) educates experienced entrepreneurs and executives in industry sectors of the advanced energy and cleantech ecosystems.

The Spring 2015 sprint-session will run from June 7 – June 12. The Institute provides interactions with the local and national advanced energy network; exposure to investors active in the sector; and a chance to learn about the latest energy innovations gaining market adoption. Guest speakers provide real-world perspectives and the opportunity to discuss business models, market adoption, and changing energy policy.

“Now in our fourth year, we are excited to deliver the Energy Fellows Institute in this sprint format,” said Mary Austin, managing director of the Energy Fellows Institute. “We have an outstanding curriculum and a fantastic team of experts delivering the program. The Institute truly elevates the discussion around cutting-edge energy technologies with people passionate about the industry and we are proud to be a catalyst in this conversation.”

Anchored by the state’s premier research institutions and expansive energy industry, Colorado is a leader in energy generation, advanced buildings technologies, energy storage, energy efficiency, advanced transportation, water and natural gas research, development and commercialization. These energy areas will be featured in the Institute’s 2015 curriculum in conjunction with an overview of energy policy, market adoption, technology development, and international opportunities. During the course of the program, the Institute provides site visits to national labs, academic research institutions, cleantech and energy companies and installations.

Fellows will receive more than 50 hours of training from more than 40 speakers, including company executives, national thought leaders, technologists and investors.

“The Energy Fellows Institute was the perfect introduction to the cleantech research and business community,” said Nathan South, chief marketing officer at Nokero and a Fellows alumnus. “The program is well run, timely, and, because the cohort size is relatively small, the environment truly encourages peer-to-peer discussion and engagement with the speakers. Not only was I educated on a range of clean technologies, but more importantly, I was introduced to dozens of clean tech business leaders.”

Applications for the tuition-based 2015 Energy Fellows Institute will be accepted on a rolling basis until May 15. For more information about the Institute, please visit www.energyfellows.com.
